In the beginning…we were quite small With a mere twenty people…who started it all Reps from five practices…and the sales team too Developed an objective…then carried it through Providing the best talent…to serve clients well Was the primary focus…it's what EDS sells Taking care of our people…was also the goal And as time continued…more filled that role We became a community…not hard to believe Joining were "I Solutions," "ATK," and even the "B" We were excited…and were most thrilled When we realized…resource needs being filled In December of '02…we were officially named Enterprise Resource Community…soon others came We then grew from eighty…to one forty-four Word traveled by mouth…and InfoCentre opened a door More than three hundred strong now…our leadership grows We don't set strict boundaries…and it's beginning to show Challenge and innovation…are displayed at every turn With integrity and respect…improved morale will be earned Come experience our Community…and join our endeavor You may come just one time…but, you might stay forever Consider the difference…your contribution might lead In assisting the EDS client…with a "perfect" resource need! Here’s a great surprise Charles Carter has finally reached The Big ‘ol Twenty-Five Now we are not referring To another year of age That was rather long ago… So let’s turn to another page A quarter of a century Two-five to be exact That he has worked at EDS And his mind is still intact! Of course, this is understandable Why should we be surprised? Charles takes a leader’s role And opens all our eyes Head-on he meets those challenges Never places a harsh blame And he doesn’t really seem to mind When you call him by his first name He respects and cares for others Gives a challenge with a clue He always is approachable Even when he has much to do For those of us who work with him We see reliability and veracity These qualities truly matter And are synonymous with integrity So remember this, dear Charles Just be YOU and keep up the pace For we all are really thankful You’re not just another pretty face! My daddy dear – though time is near I wanted you to hear these words from me. I love you so – and I hope you know I’m glad you and mom were meant to be. When I joined – your lives back then I felt secure, with nourished love. You would called me – “little princess” Mom knew, “our gift from God above.” And even though – I’ve felt so special And am happy and filled with joy. I’m really ok – that you once thought You’d much rather have a boy!!! Now all of a sudden – in just a blink Our time has passed so fast This daughter – you once held in your arms Has truly grown up, at last. And today – I feel it’s “my time” To show you all the love I can I’m just so glad – that we can laugh At jokes no one else can understand. I believe that – I am truly blessed So privileged to be your child. In my heart – you can’t be replaced Not now, nor in awhile. So feel content – knowing that Your “princess” is here for you.
